We’ve got another huge spider in our yard. This time it’s a “black and yellow garden spider” apparently. Not sure why we’re getting these things all of a sudden. Anyway, the kids call him Fred and he is really cool (and big!). Here are a couple photos:

Today was one of those unbelievably beautiful days. The kids swam for a little and we went for a really nice walk. It could not have been any nicer today. The whole weekend has been awesome. (We also made paper airplanes, which is what you see in some of the pictures):

We went to Cracker Barrel for brunch this morning and had some really small portions, but the company was great:

First the kids talked me into going into PetSmart, which was probably my first mistake. Then we saw this tiny, cute kitten that looks just like Ebony probably did when she was a baby. It was too wild to sit still for a picture, and with my phone this was the best I could do. Fortunately I was able to resist temptation, because I almost came home with this thing.

I saw this little green toy and decided I had to get it for Abby. Not really sure why. Despite the pictures, I think she really likes it:
