Lauren was at a birthday party where they painted her toenails. Pretty cool, girl:

We had an unbelievable but awesome late night last night, so we awoke kind of tired but in very high spirits. The end of the retreat was very special, and I didn’t get a lot of pictures today, but here are a few:

Wow, what an amazing day Jake and I had today. Pictures and words can’t really describe what happened. We did a TON of stuff today. I didn’t even have the camera for a lot of it, but here are some pictures from parts of the day:

Today was the first day of the Father’s Heart Weekend run by Abba’s Way. It was only a half day, but we did a lot. Jake and I explored Camp Widjiwagam, had a baseball clinic, a football clinic, went fishing and had a campfire with s’mores, among other things. It was also Jake’s “half birthday” (and, of course, Beth’s too, but I didn’t get to pick her up early at school and spend the weekend camping together). Here are some pictures:

So I learned today that Jake and Beth have to have pictures of themselves at some of their favorite places in Brentwood for school. Oh, and they need them by tomorrow. So, we drove around and actually had a pretty fun time thinking of where to go. Here are the ones we liked:

We suffered the traffic jams and lines to go to the Wilson County Fair tonight. Wow, was it big and crowded. We spent the whole time on rides, which worked out well since in years past we’ve often done everything except the rides. I couldn’t believe how late everyone wanted to stay up.

The kids found this building a huge web in our back yard. Mister Grasshopper is not having a good day.
