Lauren’s an old pro when it comes to riding the bus, but Jake and Beth had their first real ride to school today. It was a very sad day for momma.

Today is the first day of school. Lauren starts second grade while Jake and Beth both start kindergarten. I had to work, but Jen and her mom both got to go along:

We had Grandpa, Grandma and Uncle Mike all here this weekend. To celebrate we had “steak for four” which turned out to be just enough steak to feed about eight people. After gorging ourselves we walked around the restaurant and looked at the baby ducks.

Kelly and Grandma came to help watch the kids this week. It’s been very busy for everyone. They’ve been to the zoo, out on a boat, to the science museum, jumpy place, swimming and lots more. They leave tomorrow and the kids are pretty sad about that.
