Have you ever seen better friends than these two?
Lauren says that I can’t take a picture of those two without taking one of her:
The annual Easter egg hunt was a little bit of a let-down this year because there were so many “practice” egg hunts (about 5 when you include the one at the library, the zoo, the neighbors, school, etc.). The good thing was that they finally had enough practice that they could find the things (especially Jake and Beth who hadn’t really filled up their baskets at any of the other egg hunts).
The Easter Bunny also brought some presents:
We had heard great things about the annual egg hunt at the zoo, and we decided to go this year. The weather could not have been nicer, but even so we never expected the attendance to be as high as it was. The place was so crowded you could hardly move.
The eggs were pretty hard to find — obviously the zoo spent too much time hiding them. Don’t they know that there are little kids participating?
Jacob had a great time:
Fortunately the big guy himself showed up to make everything better (excpet, I don’t think any of our kids actually got to see him):
You can see more pictures in Gallery 40.
The evil mouth-torture device got installed today. It turns out that the worst part is not getting it in, but the process of expanding it every night, which the dentist conveniently leaves for the parents to do. On the good side, they said Lauren was the best patient they ever had. It’s possible they exaggerated, but she did handle it amazingly well. Here’s the best we could do to photograph this thing:
Mike the dog got to see our house today. Beth was terrified, but, of course, she wanted to have him added to her page of Beth’s Favorite Dogs:
